Eliot Chromebook Program
Posted on 08/14/2019

Clinton Public Schools is excited to announce that we are expanding our 1:1 Chromebook program to Jared Eliot Middle School.  Each student, grades 5-8 will be assigned a device which will be theirs to use throughout the school day and beyond. Aligned with our district mission, the focus of this program is to provide students tools to embed technology into their individual learning experience, assist them in acquiring technical and critical thinking skills, and develop a sense of personal and social responsibility.

Students will receive their assigned device during the first 3 days of school.  Students in grades 7 and 8 will be allowed to bring their Chromebooks home and will be responsible for protecting and charging them each night. Students in grades 5-6 will store their Chromebooks at Eliot each night.  More information about our policies, procedures, and practices can be found on our district’s Chromebook resource site

Each year we ask parents and students to acknowledge our District Chromebook policies, network acceptable use policies, and sign a G Suite (Google) account consent form.  This year Clinton Public Schools is happy to offer you the convenience of electronically acknowledging our policies through FamilyID, a secure online registration system. If you have not used FamilyID before, create your FamilyID account and add students to your family profile. You will need only one account for your whole family.  If you already have a FamilyID account through the Morgan School, you do not need to create a new one - just log in to the account you have and add students to your family profile.  Students will not be issued a device

An invitation to register for the Chromebook program was sent on August 14.  If you did not receive the invitation, please follow this link to access registration information or contact Frank Rossi, Director of Information Technology via email (frossi@clintonpublic.net).

If you have any questions or concerns about our Chromebook initiative please contact Frank Rossi, Director of Information Technology (frossi@clintonpublic.net) or Marco Famiglietti, Assistant Superintendent (mfamiglietti@clintonpublic.net).

Enjoy the rest of summer,
